Ephesians 4:13-24

Yes! Bible Study is finally moving to Wednesdays!

This week's questions are from Ephesians chapter 4 verses 14 through 24.

1 What does it mean to speak "the truth in love"? How is this different from just speaking the truth? (vs. 15)
2 How would you compare moral standards today with the moral standards in Paul's day?
3 What does it mean to "put off the old self" (vs 22) and "put on the new self" (vs 24)?
4 Of the four main jobs Paul described for a management team, which would you choose: Apostle (pioneer and church planner), prophet (motivator and encourager), evangelist (soul winner), or pastor/teacher?

Ephesians 3:1-13

What was Paul's view of the mission God had given to him?

Why would Paul consider himself "less than the least of all God's people"?

Ephesians 2:11-22

This week's questions are:

What "dividing wall' is in our world would you most like to see come down?

Before Jesus came, what problems did the Gentiles face (vv. 11-12)?

How do you think the practicing Jews felt when these Gentiles started coming to their church, but didn't want to adopt the Jewish custom of circumcision?

How would a person of a different background be accepted in your church?

Ephesians 2:1-10

This week we are reading Ephesians 2:1-10.

In this passage, Paul divides a Christian life into two periods. What are they? Who Controlled you in the first period? What was the result?

If we are dead because of sin, how are we made alive?

What is the relationship between God's grace and good works?

What has God's grace meant to you in your life?

  • What are you doing in your life "that you may know him better" (v. 17)?

  • Where do you need the "incomparably great power" (v.19) of God to be at work in the coming week?

Ephesians 1:1-14

Hi guys!

This week we are reading Ephesians 1:1-14 and doing a couple of questions. I hope everyone is having a wonderful MEA break. This might seem like a long passage but it really isn't too bad. Please read the chapter and think about the questions. Make sure you bring your bibles on tuesday.

1 When did Jesus choose us to be holy and blameless in his sight? Why?

2 In this passage, what "mystery" has God revealed as part of his ultimate plan and purpose?

3 What is God's proof of ownership for Christians?
