This week we'll read 2 Timothy 3:1-9.

1) Of the sins listed, which one could be considered the root of all the others?

2) What does it mean to "have a form of godliness but deny its power?" v. 5

3) When we are loaded down with sins, how are we affected by the kind of person Paul described earlier? v. 6

4) If someone is always learning but never able to acknowledge the truth, what does that tell you about the teaching they are receiving? v. 7

5) If we allow our minds to become depraved or corrupted, how will that hurt us?

Tuesday February 19

This week read 2 Timothy 2:20-26 so we can get back on track.

1. According to verses 22-24, what should you flee?

2. What does repentance involve (vs. 25)?

3. Why should we not quarel? (vs. 24)

4. How do you flee from evil desires?

5. How can we pursue all that is good?

This week we're studying 2 Timothy 2:8-19. Here are the questions.


1. In spite of his suffering,what keeps Paul from giving up and why do you think this (2:8-10)?


2. What warning is Paul giving his fellow Christians in verse 14?


3. How do you know if you are "quarreling about words" or standing up against false teaching?


4. what of this passage can we apply to our lives?

Next Tuesday we'll be studying 2 Timothy 1:13-2:7.

1) What does Paul want Timothy to "Gaurd the good deposit" from? (note: the NCV translates to say "Protect the truth that you were given.")

2) Paul presents us with two kinds of people in verses 15-18. What can we do in life to be like Onesiphorus?

3) Why would someone be ashamed to help a person like Paul?

4) Paul says to entrust his teachings to reliable men. What would happen if the teachings were entrusted to unreliable people?

5) What do the three analogies about soldiers, athletes, and farmers tell us about how to live a godly life?
